Mike Brown
Mike Brown was elected Mayor for the City of Weatherford beginning January 1, 2004. Mike served as City Commissioner for three terms beginning in April 1996. In 2010, Mike was named large City “Mayor of the Year”, by the Oklahoma Municipal League. He represents Rich and Cartmill Insurance, specializing in employee benefits. He is a graduate of Weatherford High School and Southwestern Oklahoma State University, with a degree in Business Education and Administration. He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, First Baptist Church, and Kiwanis Club. He was a Kiwanis Distinguished President and Lieutenant Governor. Mike currently sits on the SWODA Board of Directors, serving as a past president, the Oklahoma Municipal League Board, serving as past president, Board member for the Mayor’s Council of Oklahoma, Board member for the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System, and a Advisory Board member for Midfirst Bank. Mike received the Jeff Shockley Award for outstanding Contributions on behalf of Municipal Government in the State of Oklahoma from Oklahoma Municipal Legue. Mike has been inducted to the 2014 Athletic Hall of Fame for Weatherford High School, the 2016 Oklahoma Hall of Fame for City and Town Officials, and the 2019 Southwestern Oklahoma State University Athletic Hall of Fame. Mike also received the Cecil Perkins Service Award from SWOSU Athletics in 2024 and was named as a Distinguished Alumni for 2024.

brad Yoder
Brad Yoder began serving as Ward 2 City Commissioner on January 1, 2026. Brad Yoder has served as the Ward 2 City Commissioner for Weatherford since January 1, 2026. A native of Thomas, Oklahoma, Brad is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University and has proudly served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard for over 25 years. He currently serves as the Executive Officer for the 271st Brigade Support Battalion.
Brad and his wife, Dr. Wendy Yoder, have been married since 2013 and are raising their two children, who attend Weatherford Public Schools. Professionally, Brad is the Category Manager for ASAP General Stores, where he oversees product strategy and merchandising across the company’s convenience store operations.
Dedicated to strengthening the Weatherford community, Brad became involved with the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce in 2022 and served as Chamber President in 2024. He also serves on the YMCA committee and is an active member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Brad believes strong relationships are the foundation of effective leadership and that the best leaders remain visible, accessible, and engaged with the people they serve. He is committed to supporting responsible growth, maintaining the high quality of life that makes Weatherford special, and helping ensure the community remains one of the premier places to live, work, and raise a family in Western Oklahoma.

Kendon Wood
Kendon Wood began serving as Ward 1 City Commissioner January 1, 2024. He was born and raised in Hollis, OK. After graduating high school in 2006, He made his way to Weatherford to attend SWOSU where he graduated in 2010. In that same year he married a Weatherford native. In 2011 he worked for the City of Weatherford for 4 years before moving on to his current position as a technician in the oil and gas industry. He also is a Sunday school teacher at Calvary Baptist Church where he has attended since 2010. He loves raising his family and going to church here, which motivates him as a commissioner to make Weatherford a worthy city for families to raise their own children in.
