The City of Weatherford has twelve parks
containing 650 acres with many picnic and play areas. The
Parks Department has received numerous letters from around
the country complimenting them on our parks. The Parks Department
also helps with the OASA State Softball Tournaments, Springfest,
the Classic Car Show, and many other local events held in
our parks each year.
The City of Weatherford provides its citizens
a full time recreation director. This director works to provide
a wide range of activities throughout the year in Weatherford.
Programs include baseball, softball, aquatics, arts &
crafts, golf, tennis, gymnastics, basketball, volleyball,
bowling, archery, fishing, wrestling, walking and many other unique
programs addressing the interests of all ages. Parks and Recreation... its where the fun begins and never ends.
