The City of Weatherford Pioneer Center has been serving Weatherford and surrounding areas since April 1990. Pioneer Center has become well known and established as both a Senior Citizens Center and a Community Center. The 12,000 square foot facility, one of the largest and finest of its kind in the State of Oklahoma, hosts 3,000 to 5,000 people each month for various activities and events.

Pioneer Center

As a Senior Citizen Center the Pioneer Center provides arts, crafts, music, games, exercise programs, health services, classes, social events, and special holiday celebrations.

The CADC Nutrition Program provides a noon meal for senior citizens (Monday through Friday) at a nominal cost. A homebound meals program is also provided.

As a Community Center, the Pioneer Center strives always to serve and accommodate the general public for events including classes, meetings, parties, dinners, proms, programs and commercial activities. The Center has become a favorite place for reunions, various receptions and banquets. The large well-lighted parking area, as well as The Center, are handicap accessible. The building is "dedicated to pioneers of the past, present, and future". The Pioneer Center was the headquarters for the 1998 Weatherford Centennial celebration.
