Welcome to Weatherford, Oklahoma!
On behalf of the City of Weatherford, I would like to Welcome you to our great community.  If you spend a little time in Weatherford, I think you also will call it great. Weatherford is home to Southwestern Oklahoma State University, a regional university with over 5,000 students.  Southwestern is Weatherford’s largest employer and provides activities for the community year round.  In addition to the University, Weatherford is very proud of our public school.  Weatherford Public Schools ranks in the top 15 schools academically in the state of Oklahoma.  If you like recreation, Weatherford is the place for you.  Rader Park, in the Northeast part of town, has golf, fishing, baseball, softball, soccer, skate park, rodeo grounds, walking trails, basketball courts, tennis courts, and soon to be completed disc golf.  After a day of fun, you need a great place to spend the night.  Weatherford has some of the best hotels in Western Oklahoma, with the newest just opening in August.  Weatherford is growing with over 100 new homes being built in the last couple of years and over $30,000,000 in building permits issued last year.  Come be a part of Weatherford and let us show you some western Oklahoma  hospitality.
